To celebrate the holiday weekend and all my lovely followers, I’ll be giving away FREE Kindle copies of my book today and tomorrow, so be sure to spread the word!

Heart of the Current is a story about a video game designer suddenly thrown into the world she thought she created. It’s chock full of magic, bad language, questionable life choices, and the occasional sword fight. It’s a bit like Rat Queens and Final Fantasy mixed up with A Yankee in King Arthur’s Court.

The book series will focus on a group of soul-bound magical women who come together to fight for peace, love, and ale.

The lovely Painted-Bees drew up Annie and Hak! This is the same talented gal who made the cover for my novel. She still might be taking commissions  if anyone needs a great artist!
Have a little blurb from book 1 to go along with it :)

   “Hak?”
   “Yes, Annie?”
She tucked the smartphone into her hoodie pocket and sat down in the dirt next to him. “What will you do when we arrive in Meda? After all the stuff with the council and when I get to go back home… What do you plan to do with your life?”
Hak seemed startled by the question. “It depends on what the council wants me to do.”
“What do you want to do?”
“I … I am not sure. I will most likely return to Falishan and try to find some way to stop Voltay.”
   “And then?”
“I do not think I will survive beyond that. I said I would try to destroy him. It may be the last thing I do with my life.”
“And … and you’re just okay with that? You know it’s a suicide mission and you’re just like ‘whatever’ about it?” Annie gripped his arm and pointed in the direction of Meda. “Don’t you want to live? You know, go out and dance and find pretty girls?”
“That is not the life I am meant to have,” Hak said brusquely.
Annie folded her arms and sneered. “God. Aren’t you being a bit melodramatic? You need to ease up a bit, Hak. Enjoy life.”
He growled at her and pointed at his scars. “How, Annie? How am supposed to lead a normal life?”
“By not giving in to all these horrible, angry emotions! You’re still a good person, Hak! Don’t go throwing your life away because you feel some sort of revenge is necessary!”
   “It is the only way.”
“No, it’s not! You were given a second chance, Hak.”
He shook his head angrily at Annie. “You do not understand anything. I was given another chance at life so that I could warn others. The stars know I have done that, and now I must find a way to get my magic back and destroy those demons, or die trying.”
“Ugh, I wish you didn’t value yourself so little!”
He gave her a haunted look. “It is easy to be worthless without honor, Annie.”
Hak stood, and walked toward the hot springs without another word.
She wished there was something she could say to make him feel better. She couldn’t understand his culture, and the fact that he balanced his decisions on the fragile whims of fate. To survive his torture only to throw himself at the Shafani Army. Despite the heat of their campfire, Annie began shaking. She found it very difficult to fall asleep that evening. Her dreams were full of cliffs and falling helplessly into a white void.

I am excited to announce that my book is now available as a hard copy! (Gabranth approved hehe)

Please click HERE if you have been waiting for a print copy!

And as always, please bear in mind the Kindle app is free and available on all devices! The Kindle version of my novel has been out for a week now and costs about as much as a fancy mocha or stiff drink. The print version costs more, because of physical stuff such as paper and production costs. But I totally understand some folks just love to cuddle a physical book :)

Thank you for all of your awesome support, likes, reblogs, questions, reactions, and love!

Oh my gosh, guys, this just made my week! My first fan art and it’s just awesome and lovely and Merrily is a perfect person. This gave me so many much-needed warm fuzzies

Friendly reminder that the Kindle app is FREE and available for just about every electronic device - from desktops and laptops to smart phones! You do NOT need to own a Kindle to buy my book :)

I am finalizing the formatting for a print version, which will hopefully be available in two weeks! While the Kindle version of my novel is about the cost of a fancy latte, the print version will cost more to cover the physical costs of creating a paperback book (paper/printing/shipping).

I wanted to provide the cheapest option first for my followers, but I’m getting lots of requests for a physical book.

Thank you again for your support, reblogs, likes, and interest! It means the world to me :)

Today is a really big, super emotional, happy day for me! My first book, Heart of the Current, is now live on Amazon! You can buy it HERE!

A huge, huge thank you to Painted-Bees for her beautiful cover, and all of my followers who have given me so much love, support, and kindness over the last few months. You guys are all amazing people, and words can’t express my gratitude <3

A print version will be available in a few weeks!

Annie is having one of those days: two hours late to work, hung over, and grouchy. As a video game designer, she is used to creating perfect worlds, but lately she’s noticed a darkness creeping in to hers. She feels her life spinning wildly out of balance. Just as she is beginning to wonder how much more she can handle, an emergency broadcast alert tells her that America is under nuclear attack. As she frantically plans her escape, she wakes up in Tahldia, the strangely familiar world from her video game. When a scarred and grizzled knight, Hakayatas, saves her from a zombie attack, Annie has no choice but to team up with him to discover her destiny. She learns that this new world is plagued by a darkness of its own. A sinister force is stealing magic and killing those who use it.

Can tough-talking and hard-living Annie accept her fate and embark on a mission to fight the evil? Or will she succumb under the weight of her fears? Can she adapt to a world of knights and elves - a world without whiskey?

Chased by charming but deadly assassins and murderous demons, Annie must decide if she has what it takes to go on a quest to restore part of the magic Tahldia has lost.

Just wanted to welcome everyone to the simple beginnings of my future website. Been slogging away at the final draft that is about to go up on Amazon, and wracking my brain for a decent blurb for the back cover!

I hope to have the publishing done within the next month, and hopefully by this time in August, I’ll be focusing full force on the second book. The first draft is about 70 pages in already!

So stay tuned! Word of mouth will be my only form of advertising, so reblogs and telling your friends will mean the world to me.
